ADOLESCENT RESOURCE CENTER (ARC)

Counselor/Educator
Program centered on teens/sexuality Classroom work in local schools, and individual counseling in community and agency clinics. Excellent written/verbal communication skills with a comfort with public speaking/classroom presentations, required. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with previous experience in counseling adolescents, required; Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, preferred. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier. Full-time (37.5) during the school year; reduced hours during summer (22.5 hours/week for 10 weeks in the summer). Some evening work. Full benefits package. Location: Sussex County

After School Program Coordinator
Serving four City of Wilmington Schools (3 Elementary, and 1 Middle School) to plan, monitor, and oversee the implementation and operation of afterschool programming, designed to provide youth asset, leadership development, and enrichment for school age children. The duties may include: coordination with school staff to recruit youth to participate in the program; work with supervisor to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities; implement planned and spontaneous activities; coordinate and engage outside contractors and providers to deliver asset development and enrichment activities as appropriate; plan and purchase materials and other resources; provide careful supervision of students; set and maintain appropriate standards for children’s behavior, using non-punitive methods. Travel is required between all four sites; therefore reliable transportation is required. Experience working with school age children and an understanding of their developmental needs, required. Experience with school-age curriculum/activity design are also required. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation. Bachelor’s degree in the related field and 2-3 years of experience working with children; or a combination of education and experience is required. Part-time/Hourly position up to 15 hours per week, no benefits.

Social Worker/Counselor II
Provide intensive, evidence-based model of therapy for families, middle school age children and adolescents. Therapeutic services are provided primarily in the family’s home and community; minimal sessions are conducted in the office setting. Comfort in conducting family therapy in the home/community is required. Experience in working with families and adolescents preferred. Functional Family Therapy training utilizing an evidence-based treatment model will be provided; a commitment to learning and implementing the model is required. Comfort level with home visits and experience with home visiting, required. Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, required. Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings, required. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and a strong working knowledge of computers and applications. Travel primarily within New Castle, but some statewide travel is required. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier and reliable transportation. Master’s degree in Social Work or related discipline required. LPCMH, LPC, LCSW eligible required. Current license desired. Full Time (37.5 hours/week) with benefits.
Nurse Family Partnership

Nurse Home Visitor
Provide home visiting to first time mothers and their babies following the national evidence-base nurse home visiting model, Nurse Family Partnership. The Nurse Home Visitor will carry a caseload of 25 clients, providing intensive services to offer a chance to make a difference in clients’ lives. Extensive training and ongoing supervision will be provided. Individuals must be compassionate nurses with experience in health education and community nursing. Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, required. Eligible candidates will need RN, with a BSN, at minimum, and DE license. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish), desirable. Must have valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier. Must be flexible, with the ability to work some evenings. Travel required to visit families, and to attend trainings and meetings. Position based in Dover, serving families throughout Kent and the Northern end of Sussex County. Seaford House

Relief Counselors
Under the supervision of the shift supervisor, the position is responsible for guiding the residents through the daily routine. Includes monitoring the shift period for behavior and/or sleep patterns; documentation and record keeping; preparing meals; and supervising clients in recreational therapy. Document and chart resident performance and behavior, compile statistics and other documentation of resident performance and behavior. Participate in and guide resident participation in recreational therapy and creative art therapy exercises and activities; assist in planning of such programs. Escort residents to medical, dental, and other professional appointments.Previous counseling experience, preferably with adolescents. Strong oral and written communication skills, required. Valid driver's license.Associate’s degree (A.A.) in counseling, social sciences, or human services preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma is required. Casual/hourly positions. No benefits.
Strengthening Families

Family Support Specialist
We are in need of Child Care/Logistics Specialists to work with the children of the caregivers attending parent education sessions. Child Care specialist duties include: planning and leading age appropriate activities and participating or instructing children in games. Also must provide a safe environment for all children at all times. Logistics duties include: Coordinate and provide meals and beverages. Oversee dinner set-up and clean-up. Purchase and organize supplies for groups including food products, paper goods, and cleaning products. Place orders for food and pick-up food as needed. Part-time/hourly position, no benefits. One or more evenings per week afternoon/evenings (4:00 to 8:30 pm), and possible Saturday morning hours (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) as needed. Positions will be based in Dover and Georgetown.
